About BudgetFolk

BudgetFolk runs the actual month-by-month math behind debt payoff and savings decisions, instead of giving you a single rough number. We built it because most online calculators either oversimplify the math (flat averages instead of real amortization) or bury the real trade-offs you're trying to see. BudgetFolk works in any currency on purpose — the math behind compound interest and amortization doesn't care what currency you're in.

How it's built

Every calculator here runs a real simulation (actual month-by-month interest accrual and payment allocation, not an approximation), and ships with automated tests against known reference scenarios so a code change can't silently change your numbers. BudgetFolk is built and maintained independently — see the Methodology page for how calculators are verified and kept current.

No accounts, no tracking of your numbers

BudgetFolk doesn't require signup, and the values you enter into a calculator stay in your browser — saved results (if you choose to save any) live in your device's local storage only, never on our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
